A practical guide to creating maps, publishing public snapshots, installing embeds, and understanding billing.

Getting started

  • Create a map from the dashboard.
  • Upload a base image such as a floorplan, layout, or diagram.
  • Add markers and shapes in the editor.
  • Save changes before leaving the editor.

Publishing

  • Draft maps remain private while editing.
  • Publishing creates a read-only snapshot for public viewers.
  • Republish when saved edits should become visible.
  • Public sharing requires an active paid map plan.

Embedding

  • Configure allowed website origins before installing an embed.
  • Preview mobile, tablet, and desktop sizes from the embed page.
  • Use the hosted script or iframe code generated for the map.
  • Public URLs and website embeds are controlled separately.

Billing

  • Paid plans unlock public links, embeds, and included monthly views.
  • Private editor usage is not counted as public map traffic.
  • Public links and embeds share the monthly view allowance.
  • Yearly plans include two months compared with monthly payment.
